Lleida City Council is actively participating in the process launched by the consortium of local administrations to promote the information society, Localret, in order to define a digital agenda for Catalan municipalities. The second deputy mayor and councilor of the Presidency, Jordina Freixanet, took part today in a telematic day organized by Localret in order to present the proposal and the methodology of joint work for the definition of this digital agenda.
The aim is to carry out a shared reflection by Catalan municipalities on how to move forward in the digital field in the coming years and define the strategy to be followed, in line with the other existing plans in the Catalan field. , state and European. This digital agenda must serve to facilitate the implementation of digital transformation plans, function as a standard model and share the needs and interests of local councils for global digital deployment throughout Catalonia.
La Paeria is part of the driving force to promote this project, together with the town councils of Sant Feliu de Llobregat, Tarragona and Esplugues de Llobregat. That’s why the City Council’s Digital Organization and Policy Coordinator, Laura Sunyol, took part in the conference as a speaker on the digital cities work team, along with representatives from the ICT fields of these other councils.
