Lleida participates in the meeting of the European Consortium for Open-DAI in Istanbul

Lleida City Council participated recently in the meeting of the European Consortium for Open-DAI, held in Istanbul. The European consortium Dai-Open (Opening Date Architectures and Infrastructures of European Public Administrations) aims to test the effectiveness and potential of open data (Open Data) different administrations to create new applications and services aimed at the businesses, citizens and public administrations themselves.
In the case of Lleida, this project is inserted into the strategy of "Lleida Smart Green City" and focuses on open on Open Data Data relating to accessibility and mobility, and around them, develop applications, both web and smartphone for personal or professional use.
The meeting also involved companies BDigital and West-2002 Science and Technology Park of Lleida, collaborating on the project. Within the Lleida developed by the project also includes the integration of open data Lleida City environments with Google, which is conducting the West-2002 along with the city of Lleida Technology Park and the 'Polytechnic School of the University of Lleida.
In the consortium involves the cities of Lleida, Barcelona, Karlshamn (Sweden), Ordu (Turkey) and the Piedmont Region (Italy), also collaborate with companies in all the countries. The next consortium meeting will take place in Lleida in November.
This project is funded by the European program to support ICT policies as part of the Competitiveness and Innovation (CIP - Call 2011).
