The Paeria launches Appunta, a new application to report incidents on public roads.

Lleida City Council has launched Appunta, a new application to report incidents on public roads. The mayor of Lleida, Angel Ros, with the Deputy Mayor Joan Gómez and Félix Larrosa, presented Tuesday this new tool "that makes urban municipal services closer to citizens and opens a new door of communication, which Paeria improved processes for reporting, feedback and reporting quickly and efficiently", said Ros.

The mayor explained that this project was worked transversely from different municipal departments such as Public Participation Planning (public road) and which allow citizens to report to the town council any impact on the public and, at the same time, ensures that it will have an answer and be able to monitor them. "It's a very elaborate response to the political will to improve communication with citizens," pointed Ros. (cutting voice À. Ros)

Meanwhile, Larrosa said that is a living application that aims to approximate the urban municipal services to citizens and that adds to the campaign of civility that was launched a few months ago. "All this adds to ask the citizen level complicity to make our city cleaner and more civic." Gomez added that "with this app the City Council City will be more open to the public and strengthen the Municipal Office of Citizen Attention giving us more tools to help citizens communicate with the City Council."

To the presentation was also attended by the Head of the Department of Urban Services in rural and urban environment and sustainability, Montserrat Gil de Bernabé, Coordinator of Computer Science and Technology of the City of Lleida, Antoni Saldaña, and the representative of the company that developed the app Use-It, Alex Surroca, who has been in charge of explaining the site application operation.

The 70% of incidents received by the Town Council are related with the public road

The mayor of Lleida, Angel Ros, said that the importance of opening new channels of communication with the citizens lies, for example, in that currently 70% of the information requested by the citizen to the town council that is related with the public road. The app Appunta, which is free, is available for devices with Android and IOS operating systems and has cost € 6,000, paid by the city of Lleida and the company responsible for cleaning the city, Ilnet.

The application has the following sections:

Report of incidents

Citizens can inform the Town Council if they see any incident on the city. To activate this communication through the application, must complete the following fields of information:

-  Type of incident: Water, sewer system and fountains; electricity, gardening, cleaning, lights, signage and public road. Description: the user can describe (if you want) the type of incident detected. Location: where will indicate the address where the incident is located. Picture: users can attach a picture of the incident. Contact details: application requests the phone and email in order to communicate paeria that the resolution of the incident.

Once the incident is sent, the system automatically sends an email to the citizen where he gives thanks and he communicates the number of incident if in the future wants to track.

-  Collection of bulky: citizens can make an appointment for the collection of bulky (furniture and / or appliances). To activate this communication through the application, must complete the following fields of information: types of bulky (furniture and appliances), proposed day: the user must specify the date that best suits its availability. Contact details: application requests indicate the citizen's phone and email for the Town Council should contact him.

The application contains information on the dumps of both the fixed and the mobile and information on the different types of existing waste and the container in which they must deposit each of the rest. Also, the application provides information on cleaning equipment of Lleida City Council and timetables and frequency of cleaning of the city.
